    Contract Environments, Inc. and Turning Point worked with the owners to establish complete renovations, furniture and “branding” exhibits in the Main Lobby space, Training Center, Employee Lunch area, etc.  Coordinating these areas and managing a schedule for the renovations was a challenge and their expectations were met with great success.  


    Turning Point handled all procurement and was onsite managing the move and installation.

    Exelon Corporation – Pepco Holding, Inc.   Innovation Lab at Edison Place Headquarters Washington, DE


    The Innovation Lab at Pepco in Washington, DC is a new initiative where technologies, 3D printing, training, small classes for employees, students from local universities meet and create a “Think Tank” atmosphere within the corporate environment of Exelon/Pepco.


    The Innovation Lab features Smart Boards, Huddle Rooms for 2-4  persons, private harbor seating areas for individual study or research, conference and collaborative spaces for study.


    Use of mobile and very flexible furnishings, pre-wired and wireless furniture are features to remove boundaries to spontaneous thought and creative ideas.

    Modular Glass Walls were incorporated to provide visual access for all participants.  Small presentations and individual participants receive training on full size Smart Tint surfaces projected on the glass walls – going from full obscure for presentation and projection glass to clear see- thru glass.

    Frito Lay and their major manufacturing and distribution site in Aberdeen, MD challenged Contract Environments with the realities of transforming their former offices, training and cafeteria areas.

    The office and support areas were renovated to include the newest technology and Branding that were inspirational, motivating to productivity practical to their operations.


    Maintenance and Safety were important to choices of materials and finishes.  Mock ups of finish materials were installed for onsite testing which was extremely helpful for the specific conditions.


    Multiple innovations and a reference to the history of the company were created.  Improvements to production staff support areas such as Locker Rooms, Break Rooms were significantly upgraded to meet the staffing requirements. Spaces that operate 3 shifts a day are particularly impacted positively.


    In addition to the Interior Design services for this project, Turning Point provided the new workplace furnishings and workstations for the New Offices and Staff Areas.

    Newark, Delaware


    Comcast Corporation chose a new location in Newark, Delaware to house their 3 story  -  900 person Call Center.


    Turning Point was selected to provide the Glass Partitions for Offices, Huddle Rooms, Conference Rooms and secure Entries into Call Center studios.


    Two Thousand (2,000 LF) lineal feet of Muraflex Glass Demountable Partitions were supplied and installed by Turning Point as well as 200 Doors and hardware with Mag Locking systems and Room Schedulers for Conference Rooms. Challenging spaces such as the Atrium were accomplished with safety measures and equipment that supported the 9’ sections of glass. 


    Acoustics, Natural light and security were key aspects of the project.  


    The project was completed on time and on budget and is performing beautifully for Comcast and their staff.

    AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals Company newest Training Initiative called the Lean Academy was located in part of the R & D Building and comprised about 12,000 square feet.


    Training Rooms, Offices, Break Areas and Technology and Computer Support were key factors for International Training, Conference Calls, Hi-Tech equipment and communications.


    Acoustic Privacy required high STC Ratings for the Glass Demountable Partitions.  Muraflex and Turning Point provided Double Glazed Glass Partitions with framed Pivoting Glass Doors, Drop Seals for acoustics and securing Locking systems.   The acoustics in the Learning Centers is phenomenal and privacy is maintained to an impressive level.

    Open and casual seating areas allow for simultaneous presentations and break out sessions immediately adjacent to the Conference and Demonstration areas.

    The MRA Group Development repurposed the DuPont Chestnut Run Chemical Research Site for the innovations of the Bio and Pharmaceutical industry.  


    Prelude Therapeutics hired Bancroft Construction to complete the fit out tf the Interior of the Lab and office Headquarters on the Chestnut Run Site. 


    Turning Point was successfully charged with supplying Muraflex Glass Walls in the Fino products.  Fino offers a clean and sleek design for todays most contemporary and sustainable interiors.


    Interior Glass demountable Walls allowed significant use of natural light to enter thru the center of the lab, office and conference spaces allowing for a spacious and visual expansiveness thru the departments and collaborative spaces.


    Muraflex and Turning Point were selected to provide the products and services for this project.  Over 1,000 Linear Feet and 100 Doors were supplied and installed in this project.

Solutions Med Spa

    Solutions Med Spa was a synergistic practice among other holistic providers within the Abbey Center in Newark, DE.


    The development of the tenants that practiced in the building were Health and Holistic providers and Solutions Spa was located near a Cosmetic Surgery surgeon and wanted a visibility all its own.

    The Spa Owners desired a calm and sensitive environment to lessen stress and anxiety as well as promote a comfortable and hospitable space.

    Contract Environments and Turning Point provided both Interior Design, Space Planning as well as Furniture services.  Creating a more homelike environment with a color scheme of the owners selection and the incorporation of soft lighting and metal finishes helped to create this interior design.


    The Vichy Shower was a uniquely and specially equipped space for treatments of full body wraps, etc.  


    Contract Environments and Turning Point were successful in that the Spa became a very popular venue and

    Forum Building at the State Capitol Complex


    The Department of General Services recognized the need for a comprehensive renovation and modernization of the functionally obsolete Forum Building (opened in 1931), while preserving important historical elements such as sculptures, murals, and architectural elements. 


    Launched in January 2021, the $90 million renovation will modernize the building for the 21st century and allow the return of the Department of Education to the building.  The project will add all new HVAC, fire detection, and suppression systems, elevators, a freight elevator, break and meeting rooms, open office spaces, electrical wiring, furniture, LED lighting, and energy efficiency windows. 


    Interior Glass demountable Walls allowed significant use of natural light to enter thru the center of the office and conference spaces allowing for a spacious and visual expansiveness among the departments. 


    Muraflex and Turning Point were selected to provide the products and services for this.


    Over 2,000 Linear Feet and 200 Doors were supplied and installed in this project. 


    Schedules and budgets were met and achieved successfully facing challenges during the COVID pandemic.  Turning Point met the challenge!

    The Winterthur Museum Scholars are a Graduate University of Delaware and Winterthur Museum Partnership.  Scholars study in depth at Winterthur Museum – a World Class Institution of American Furniture and Architectural Interiors.  


    Contract Environments and sister company, Turning Point provide services and products to support the needs and programs at this Non Profit Museum and renowned institution.  Projects range from Master Planning Space to Visitor Center experience enhancements, Public Facilities Dining, and a variety of Historical spaces.
